This week I am still attempting to navigate twitter, but I was really excited to see some really good content in the #39canimals search! I started following Mercy for Animals which brings awareness to how much we exploit animals for food. More and more everyday I am wanting to become vegan because of a lot mistreatment is taking place as well as the environmental impacts. I also started following WWF Forest & Climate (@WWFForestCarbon) because I think it's really important that we preserve animal's habits. Especially since we've taken and completely demolished areas that used to house a variety of species. I also began following Matthew Dominguez (@Matt_Dominguez) who is a political advisor for @theanimalvoters. I think it's super interesting getting a more political lens on this. I followed a few more organizations that had to do with animal protection services as well as advocates for animals. One of my classmates retweeted this super interesting video about animal intelligence.
Blog responses from this week made me feel like I wasn't alone feeling super uncomfortable using Twitter. I didn't realize so many people felt that way. I left comments on David Lu's blog, Hannah Newton's "Week 4 Twitter Updates" blog, and Letian Yu's "Everything in Week Three" blog. I really enjoyed reading and connecting with Letian's blog post because I thought that they brought up a good point about Marzluff who has been mentioned multiple times through the course already. Letian found his twitter, and I didn't even think to do that!

Hi Carly! I really like how you focused on the habitats as they're an important factor of how animals survive, I also recently started following Matt, I agree that animal advocacy is important in political matters! Nice post.
