Twitter Update Part 2

I am not going to lie, I still don't feel that comfortable with Twitter, but I know eventually I will get there. I want to have fun with it while also finding some useful information. I started following a couple people who are professors who are doing animal research, so I though that their pages would be super helpful. I thought that the #39canimals posts were also super interesting to take a peek at this week. I felt like a lot of people were finding some really good content! I did find some disheartening news about the lack of prosecutions being done for wolf killers (@ProjectCoyote), and I know that there were many more tweets like this :( However, I liked this one video that a classmate retweeted. It looks so interesting. My favorite account I followed this week is @Norecopa which is Norway's platform for the 3 Rs in animal experiments. I want to move to Norway one day, so I am glad to see something like this! I think I am really into how the environment's drastic changes has had an effect on animals. It is really sad to think that we have destroyed a lot, but I do look forward to trying to help in any way I can. I want to be an advocate, and I thought the readings we have been doing have been making realize more and more that we need to appreciate the value each animals holds. My favorite tweet was probably the sloth I posted because it feels like my week 3 encapsulated perfectly.

This week I commented on Kelly Tang, Jaime Guevara, and Ke Liu's original twitter update posts. I liked how Jaime talked about the bird documentary we watched because I also found it to be super intriguing. I did not realize just how intelligent birds were, especially with the challenges they were given and the research that was done to show how they not only interact with other birds but how they are able to determine whether there is a threat or not.
